Saline implants are the type of implant filled with a sterile saltwater solution. It is just like the saltwater in your tissues and blood vessels.  They are inserted into the body empty and only filled once they are in place. They do require slightly smaller incisions. While silicone implants are filled up with a cohesive silicone gel. According to most people, it looks more natural than a saline implant. Silicone gel-filled implants are suitable for women those who have less natural breast tissue. It poses less risk of a complication called rippling and occurs when the edges of the implant can be seen or felt.

The size of implants is certainly a matter of individual preference. Implants are measured in cubic centimeters and cup sizes can be quite varied. You can try on different sizes to see how you might look with different options. Possibly, you may also be a candidate for 3D imaging, where diverse implants can be simulated for you to view.

Type of Incision

You may choose from 2 incision options depending on your personal preferences and choice of implants. The most common type of incision is known as the inframammary incision. This incision will be placed on the inframammary line. It will enable the surgeon to control during surgery and lead to precision for predictable results.  The resulting scar once healed can be concealed beneath clothing.

The second type of incision runs along the lower border of the areola. And, also the area of skin surrounding the nipple. This type of incision may be more suitable for women with large areolas. These incisions generally heal well.

Surgical procedure

The accurate duration of your breast augmentation surgery procedure depends on a few factors. For example, whether you have chosen to undergo a breast lift with your breast augmentation and the rest. Breast augmentation surgery generally takes about one hour. However, at times, the surgical procedure may take even longer.  Women who have lost a significant amount of weight may get a tummy tuck and liposuction along with cosmetic breast enhancement.

They may arrange for a friend or a relative to take them home. In most cases, absorbable or dissolvable sutures usually disappear within 6 weeks. If the sutures do not dissolve, a follow-up appointment with the doctor will be necessary to remove them.
